The Paint and Stain

Hey guys-

The paint job is completed, except for touch ups which will be addressed after the house is completed. I only used 3 colors through out our house, but love them. I chose pretty neutral colors which I think are pretty warm and cozy. The living room/entry/hallway is painted in a color called resort tan, the kitchen/study is painted in San Antonio Sage, and the rest of the house (ceilings, trim, doors, bathrooms and bedrooms are painted Echelon Ecru. I do have intentions of painting some of the bedroom and maybe the bathroom walls a different color, but for now we did what was they cheapest and we will add color through rugs, bedding, linens, wall decor, etc.... The stain for the doors was the scariest decision I had to make, because the front door is mahoganey and the back door is made of stainable fiberglass. I wasn't sure if they would both soak up the stain the same way or not. I also had the posts and shutters stained with a solid stain so the matching was somewhat stressful for me. However, it turned out to be just great for us! We love it! Hope that you enjoy the pics....some are hard to tell the exact color because there is still no lighting and then it was cloudy so not much light was available. Let me know what you think, but please be kind if you don't like it...I am pregnant and emotional!

Our latest house Update

I know I say this every time, but I truly am sorry that it has taken me so long to update you all on our house. The process has been somewhat quick and somewhat slow. It seems to be that if we can get people out there to work then it goes quickly, but sometimes that is a struggle to do. The pictures can tell all but that we are supposed to be finished by the time we leave for California. We are still not sure if that is true or not, but we aren't holding our breath so we shouldn't be too disappointed if we aren't. Anyways, here are they pictures....
